Never express yourself in terms of vaguity (vagueness) and ambiguities.

As Herschell Gordon Lewis said in On The Art of Writing Copy (highly recommended reading)

Clarity has to come first, no matter what you’re writing or to whom.

You can easily start being more clear in your writing with this simple Copywriting Tip #1 …

Get rid of the words “this”, “that”, “these”, and “it” whenever you can be more specific

People think in word pictures. When you write “this”, “that”, and “it” in your communications, you come across as not only unclear, you come across as BORING.

By deleting the words above, and replacing them with specifics will improve your writing and communication by 500%. I see many network marketers rampantly, over and over, making the above marketing goofs.

I always know I’m in for boring reading when I read sentences starting with … “It” or “This” or “These.”

Give the above a try. You’ll be amazed how much clearer your writing will suddenly become, and how much more you’ll hold your readers attention, which means more effective communication and getting your intended results.

You will catch yourself making these goofs from time to time. (I still do, every once in awhile.) Just constantly pay attention, and you’ll soon make writing clearly … a good habit.
